Liwan Zhang

Liwan Zhang is a Landscape Designer with a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan (2019), where she also minored in Environmental Policy and Planning. With experience across cities including New York, Fort Lauderdale, Seattle, San Francisco, Houston, and various locations in Asia, Liwan brings a global perspective to her work at ODA. Her diverse portfolio includes residential gardens, hospitality spaces, commercial plazas, urban parks, and campus planning.

Driven by a belief in the transformative power of our environments, Liwan creates landscapes that inspire positive behavioral change. She is dedicated to crafting vibrant, sustainable spaces that foster community interaction and education. As a passionate plant lover, Liwan often nurtures gardens in Hudson River Park and Governor’s Island in her spare time, connecting with both nature and her community.
